Craig Blunck
Raised on a grain and livestock farm near Osmond, Nebraska, Craig developed a deep understanding and respect for agriculture early in life.
In 1976, Craig graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and Finance.
From 1976 until 1999, Craig used his acquired knowledge of agricultural markets to become a Commodity Futures Broker. From there he entered into several other enterprises, including feeder cattle order Buying and being a co-partner in an 11,000 head commercial feedlot operation. In 2000, Craig was one of the pioneering co-founders of DVAuction, today’s premier Internet broadcasting company broadcasting livestock auctions worldwide via the Internet. Craig also consults purebred and commercial beef producers in the areas of herd management and marketing.
In March of 2008, Craig joined Midwest Futures as the Director of Business Growth and Development. His vast knowledge of the cattle industry and warm personality make Craig a perfect fit at Midwest Futures.
Craig has twin sons, Jared and John, and now resides in Osmond, Nebraska. Along with his love for the commodity futures markets, Craig enjoys 4-wheeling, attending concerts, hunting, and American Quarter Horses.
